The organizers of the European Champions Cup have announced three more teams joining the team list of the event: Sprout, GamerLegion, and Illuminar.

The trio joins two teams who were confirmed to attend in the initial announcement of the tournament, CR4ZY and HEROIC, bringing the count up to five teams out of a total of 16 participating in the online event.

Sprout currently reside just outside of the top-30 after qualifiers for Games Clash Masters and ESL One New York saw the German side advance in the former case and bomb out in last place in the latter.

GamerLegion will take part in the European Champions Cup

GamerLegion have lacked appearances in the last month after placing third-fourth at Good Game League, their first LAN event with the newest addition, Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman, while Illuminar have most recently made it to the grand final of UCC Summer Smash and have a 2-1 record in the Swiss group stage of LOOT.BET Season 3.

European Champions Cup, featuring six online stages, will begin in mid-September and will run through November, with four spots in the Maltese LAN finals and an additional $60,000 on offer.
